Troy Aland

Our patients love to come see Dr. Aland because he helps you forget you're in the dental office. His dry sense of humor and quick wit make every appointment an enjoyable experience. He takes great care in your oral health and wants to help you understand what needs to be done to make your mouth as healthy as possible.

"I believe there are often many choices in dental treatment and the patient is THE most important part of the treatment decision. My job is to help you understand the options available and leave the decision-making up to you."

Dr. Aland has had an interest in Dentistry since the 6th grade. He had an experience with braces that greatly improved his smile and he decided he wanted others to feel that same confidence in their lives. Dr. Aland chose General Dentistry because he enjoys performing a variety of procedures every day. When he's not practicing Dentistry, Dr. Aland enjoys watching sports (he's a huge Cubs fan!), playing golf and spending time with his wife and children.

Dr. Troy Aland attended Creighton University School of Dentistry, graduating in 2004. He practiced in Yerington at Healthy Smiles Family Dentistry before opening his private practice. Dr. Aland grew up in Reno, attending McQueen High School and the University of Nevada, Reno.

Nikki Pierce - Office Manager

Nikki is a great manager and works hard to make sure that our patients get the best possible experience from the moment they walk in the door.  She loves interacting with patients and getting to know them, and finds a lot of satisfaction in working in the office because she gets to meet new people every day. 

Nikki is a UNR graduate with a degree in Elementary Education.  She enjoys spending time with her family, working out, and getting in shape.  If she’s not at home or at the gym, you’ll probably find her on a trail or a mountain somewhere, because she’s an avid outdoors person and loves to hike.

Christina Hines - Project Manager

Originally from Utah, Christina moved to Reno and is enjoying the Truckee Meadows. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics from Brigham Young University and is fascinated by the correlation between a healthy mouth and a healthy body. Christina greets our patients with a warm smile and cheerful attitude that help ease any apprehension or nervousness.

She enjoys the outdoors including hiking and mountain-biking, and has always wanted to run a marathon. She also loves playing the piano and spending time with family. Christina's energy is contagious and she is a great asset to our team!

Merilyn Gonzales - Dental Assistant

A Certified Dental Assistant, Merilyn loves hearing about her patients’ lives and helping them as much as possible.  She always has a smile and a laugh ready to make everyone feel welcome.  She is currently continuing her education, pursuing a degree in dental hygiene from TMCC.   When she’s not studying, Merilyn loves hanging out with family and being active outdoors, including playing on a local softball team.  

Bernadette Gish - Dental Assistant

Bernadette is a Certified Dental Assistant and recently completed an Associate of Science in Dental Assisting degree at TMCC.  Bernadette is the social butterfly of our office and enjoys conversing with our patients during treatment.  She enjoys spending time with her daughter and family, and cooks the best egg rolls in town!
